    rucksack woes

Got to work very early this morning, took my rucksack off and found it wide open, damn double zips. The thing is that I lost my lunch...... which was inside my wifes crash helmet!!!

How mad is that? I didn't even notice the helmet go, and the question is did it roll down the road taking out pedestrians like skittles in a Dam Busters type way?

I'm very happy with my Ortlieb Packman-pro. The roll closure just doesn't flap open in the wind, it's waterproof, and doubles as a back protector in case of an off. Dunno if it'll take a crash helmet though, but to be honest I'd be a bit nervous about having that big a lump on my back when I eventually come off the bike again...

    Tend to agree with RC
a spare lid should be away from your body I spose in a rucsac is better than on your arm but in an off it will cause more damage than good get yourself a bungey net or better still a top box

If it makes you feel better its easy mistake to learn, I lost my passport due to my tankbag being left open and I've lost a pannier lid thankfully the contents stayed in

    Re: rucksack woes

Thanks for the suggestions chaps, I did think wearing a rucksack with a helmet in wasn't the safest option, so i'm going to use my cargo net untill I find a matching top box which will be handy for shopping trips too (bottles of booze and tins not a great landing pad either).

Anyone know which top box best suits (in fast colours, red, white and blue)?
