THis is the free VFR800 i was given

The following are pictures of the VFR800 i was given, this had to be the dirtiest bike i have ever seen, left standing in an underground garage in London for nearly 3 years.

I changed the oil and filter, fitted a new battery, added some fresh fuel and guess what?

The bike started immediately and runs very sweet, i was really impressed by that

The dust and filth was incredible

However underneath the filth, i could see it was going to be a good bike with a liberal dose of elbow grease

First thing off to the jetwash, and voila

I have since spent at least 2 hours hand washing and polishing, i will post some photos shortly as the bike is now really immaculate and back from the dead

As i was given the bike for free, i have splashed out some money

    Oil & Filter
K&N Air Filter ( Ebay!!! only 2 pounds more expensive than stock air filter)
    NGK Iridium sparkplugs
    Change of Coolant
    New Battery

Huge clean and WD40 of everything !!!!!

    OFF TOPIC:
    hmmmm.... cough cough!

hey i've got one that looks just like that!

(awaiting threats of physical violence )

Its toasty dry new stable is almost finished though! (if it ever stops raining)

    BACK ON TOPIC:

You are a very lucky man to have been given such a toy! and just in time for all the good weather!

Was it sat on flat tyres? if so I'd give them a good check over on the side walls.

Lucky bar steward. I had a red Fi like yours for 2 years and loved it. It toured with mucho luggage, did a few track days and lots of local scratching.

    Enjoy!

Oh, and check the dates on the tyres (year and week number are in a box somewhere on each tyre). If they're more than 5 years old, change them! Hell, change them anyway! (We've got to get you dishing out some folding stuff somehow.)
