Lance Armstrong 3rd Place Tour De France

I was so hoping like many others that Lance Armstrong could make it 8 wins, the dream was not to be.

But what a performance, 3rd place in the toughest race of all at nearly 38 years of age.

    Incredible

Lance Armstrong is to the Tour De France what Joey Dunlop was to the TT quite simply the greatest of all time.

Not even in the same league. How he was allowed back into cycling baffles me.

As a fan of the late great Joey Dunlop and of Lance Armstrong, what this man has achieved, easily puts him in the same league, no question.

    Eh??
Just about the greatest cyclist of the modern era - watching the Tour riders racing up mountains sure puts Lance into a list of the greatest sportsmen of modern times!!

That takes some doing. Well done that man. The guy really has got b@lls.
There is going to be an auction of all the specially commissioned bikes that he rode on this years Tour, the Damian Hurst bike alone is expected to raise $1m

YOU ONLY NEED TWO TOOLS IN LIFE - WD-40 AND DUCT TAPE. IF IT DOESN'T MOVE AND SHOULD, USE THE WD-40. IF IT SHOULDN'T MOVE AND DOES, USE THE DUCT TAPE

And what about Bradley Wiggins coming in 4th and Mark Cavendish winning all those stages. Those riders are as tough as they come......i do a bit of cycling myself and believe me the stamina needed to compete in their league is phenominal..........
Still on the Tour de France i was watching stage 17(i think it was 17)and a rider came off on one of those seriously fast descents at maybe 40 miles an hour....the camers bike following him only just avoided hitting him....and only just avoided flying over the edge into the valley below......those bike-cam riders do a sterling job on those down hill sections.....lucky sods.
