How long 'til this happens here............

BBC NEWS | World | Asia-Pacific | S Korea taxi drivers can watch TV

It will happen in the UK (and Ireland as well), I just don't want to be the victim!

It's not a case of whether we can fix it or not - it's more a case of how fixed would you like it?

That is actually quite a scary thought, it's bad enough people paying too much attention to their sat navs let alone getting caught up in "that missed episode of eastenders"!! The road in front of them would become a lower priority me thinks!!

The UK and Ireland also have rules about NOT using a mobile phone at the wheel, yet it still occurs thousands of times a day.........

In London I often see cars with either a TV or DVD player on while being driven.
YOU ONLY NEED TWO TOOLS IN LIFE - WD-40 AND DUCT TAPE. IF IT DOESN'T MOVE AND SHOULD, USE THE WD-40. IF IT SHOULDN'T MOVE AND DOES, USE THE DUCT TAPE

I just pointed out that there are rules against it, not that it never happened...

What about the trucker who got done for watching 1970's Battlestar Galactica on his laptop!!

Very true. Sorry Kymmy, not feeling the best today and definitely not thinking straight.

Talking to a trucker who did the same- portable DVD player in his cab for the motorway journeys. Ended up out his lane moderately often apparently. I would have ripped into him but I was hitchiking .

So yeah, don't think the next juggie you pass has a driver paying attention at the wheel.
