    Radio 4 Long Wave

I ask this here because there always seems to be someone, somewhere on these forums who knows!
I'm aware that there are gadgets which transmit ipod files locally, via FM to an unused channel on a car radio, my question (mainly for Cricket fans) is:-
Is there a similar bit of kit that can receive Radio 4 LW and transmit it locally, to an FM only car(or bike) radio?.
    Any ideas?
    Happy Christmas, keep safe, Dogwheel.

Not cheap, at about 50 - 60 quid, but you can get radio 4 long wave on dab radios, so if you fit a dab receiver with fm transmitter you can get what you want.

PURE Highway In-Car DAB Radio With FM Transmitter: Amazon.co.uk: Electronics & Photo

The pure stuff is really good kit, but i'm sure there are cheaper options available from hong kong on ebay!

I would bite the bullet and buy the Pure, it may be dearer but it works.

Better than wasting money on cheap items that do not live up to the hype.
YOU ONLY NEED TWO TOOLS IN LIFE - WD-40 AND DUCT TAPE. IF IT DOESN'T MOVE AND SHOULD, USE THE WD-40. IF IT SHOULDN'T MOVE AND DOES, USE THE DUCT TAPE

Slightly off topic, but why don't car makers fit dab radios into cars now? Isn't it meant to be the future?

the only vehicle i know that comes with one as standard is london black cab types.

Surely we'd only need a chip and pin reader, and I think there may be ones in the glove boxes of the X5's nowadays. Got to pay for the nice toys somehow.

Before it gets onto the front page of the Daily Mail.....

there are no chip & pin readers in the X5's.

    They're in the Volvo's.

I have this unit and an aerial on my bike. I keep it int he tank bag and plug it into my Starcom.

I rode the Lake District listening to the cricket virtually all the way until I was about a mile from Windermere where the signal cut out.
