    Is this Immoral?

Just seen this advert on the telly and I know times are hard but is it really justifiable to charge people over 2300% interest for a loan?

If nothing else, they are more up-front about the interest rate than some credit card firms have been in the past.

Then again, if you need such a loan then you must be in very deep do do.

It's not a case of whether we can fix it or not - it's more a case of how fixed would you like it?

Yeah I noticed this a few days ago too Gordon; they must have to highlight the APR now rather than burying it in size 0.1 font at the bottom. Funny how advertising presents 'typical' loan-takers as living in bright, soft focus mansions with huge kitchens & huge-er mugs of coffee... "*thinks* oh, I could just use a £3k loan for an extension to my conservatory.."

    Immoral though? I think so.
It's like that Mitchell & Webb sketch -
Loan Manager; "we like to get to know our customers, see what sort of person they are & become friends. What's your house like?
Customer; Fine, 2 up, 2 down. We like it.
Loan Manager; Get on well with the landlord?
Customer; oh, no; we own it
Loan Manager; Right, about the loan...."
    "..To The Mountains!!"
