    2010 Manchester bike show cancelled

This is the cancellation of Manchesters bike show that was due to be on this weekend - 9 + 10 - Jan. It isn't to be rescheduled 'til next year.

I've just been told of the cancellation by a mate who was to show an old bike there

We were really looking forward to this as well as we didn't go to the NEC 'cos this was coming up soon....

Perhaps next year the sun will be shining in the middle of winter so they won't have to cancel........

Well I went a couple of years ago and it was sh!te. Total waste of time and money, I vowed I would never go again. The majority of stands were no better than market stall or car boot sales.

NEC show is heading the same way too.

The Scottish show in Edinburgh went the same way. Full of stands selling cheap leathers made in the far east. I heard the organisers started demanding too much money from the exhibitors and wouldn't provide the usual entertainment like the excellent Purple Helmets. The high markup, cheap goods guys were the only ones left who could afford to set up stall.

I stopped going a couple of years ago.

Not a patch on what it used to be.

I do not think I ill be going to any more shows, for the reasons mentioned above.
YOU ONLY NEED TWO TOOLS IN LIFE - WD-40 AND DUCT TAPE. IF IT DOESN'T MOVE AND SHOULD, USE THE WD-40. IF IT SHOULDN'T MOVE AND DOES, USE THE DUCT TAPE
