    Handheld bike photography

I wish I was good enough to take photographs like these.

Get yourself a tripod mount fitted to the bike, get a wired remote switch and use a nice fast shutter speed (1/500ish) and Bobs your dads brother

I'm not sure a fixed camara would capture the moment as well as a handheld? Some of those low rear shots are awsome.

    Here Frank being photographed.

I'll let you know in in the middle of trying to fabricate something so that my manfrotto mount can be fixed to different areas of the bike for both my video camera and slr

They were some nice photos but that one showing him taking a photo with one hand while going around a bend look like an accident waiting to happen.

    yeh stumps,
and he wouldnt have a leg to stand on the police insurance would just look at his photos, better a hand release button as DC says but I`d probably end up composing the shot and going off road.

think a camcorder mounted with a wide angle selected then just let it roll and edit later

I thought he may have been two up and the pillion was taking the shots but that one photo is more incriminating than anything else.

I'm hoping that's the case because Mrs Christmas bought me one of these.

It also has a timed sequence setting for stills but I've not tried it on the bike.
