    stolen recovered question

my son had his nsr125 stollen before christmas (scum bags). it has now been found by the police and has been recovered for forensic examination. i am sure i have read somewhere when you collect the vehicle you are charged for recovery which you can claim back from the police as they requested the recovery.
any help from anyone who has had similar experience would be helpfull .

    Re: stollen recovered question

I thought they just informed you of its location and you had to arrange collection.
If they have taken it for forensic examination, it is not chargeable to you, as you did not request it. When they have finished, if you do not collect it straight away they may charge storage.
YOU ONLY NEED TWO TOOLS IN LIFE - WD-40 AND DUCT TAPE. IF IT DOESN'T MOVE AND SHOULD, USE THE WD-40. IF IT SHOULDN'T MOVE AND DOES, USE THE DUCT TAPE

    Re: stollen recovered question

Im sorry to bring you bad news but... my neighbour was broken into. They stole his telly emptied his wallet and took the Mrs purse and stole her car from outside my house. The car was found less than half a mile away. The Police recovered it to their compound awaiting for fingerprints etc. My neighbour was charged for recovery and storage (awaiting fingerprinting) at the compound. The Police said he could claim it from his insurance. Sadly he only had 3rd party and was given a heafty bill. Sorry Alan but thats the way things go these days.
