    I (like you) never bothered with a car until now (i am 35) and i just passed mine (December 8th) and it's a dodle m8 there nowt too it.

    Cars never interested me but having my disabled neice living with me means i need transport and she's getting too big for the top-box

    I am learning to drive at the moment too... however I am 20. And I'd like to get a car license before I finish university so it is done and out the way.

    All the best mate, I think the car test is just a quick drive around the local area so you may be lucky in knowing the roads you are on. My car test took 20 minutes compared to the HGV's 3 tests (one for each HGV3 HGV2 HGV1) and a PCV test each of these lasted 1.5 Hours.
    YOU ONLY NEED TWO TOOLS IN LIFE - WD-40 AND DUCT TAPE. IF IT DOESN'T MOVE AND SHOULD, USE THE WD-40. IF IT SHOULDN'T MOVE AND DOES, USE THE DUCT TAPE

    cheers all i'll post tmrw to let you know how I got on. Just got to remember to use the rear view mirror!! Riding a bike and driving a van don't do much for making it a habbit!

    Oh yes, the rear view mirror... I was exactly the same, i'd always check my side mirror instead coz i'm used to the bike. I was lucky though as my examiner Paul is a biker so understood
