    New Biker!

Been out today and bought number 2 son his first set of bike gear. Luckily Mum's helmet is a perfect fit (and not pink!). So just new jacket, trousers and boots. Gotta get some decent gloves - none in the shop!

And here he is posing on my Alp. Oh, and some old fella got in one of the pictures too!

I'm on the Safe House List
03 TA Blue, Givi bars, centre stand, Givi Pannier racks, heated grips, MRA Vario - smooth!

    Also 4x4 with a towbar - and a trailer!

Excellent the more bikers the better, keep him in traditional Biker black. My daughter is either in pink or Triumph blue.

Great video Rod. What camera did you use for the on bike footage and how was it fixed to the bike?

Enjoyed the Normandy vids. Mrs & me went there last year with a couple of mates.

Our kids are 9 & 10. Can't take them both out at once though - only one licence holder in the family.

Eldest son didn't want to know when I said we were off to buy bike gear, but this evening changed his mind.

Happily the suit also fits older brother, as does Mum's lid, so he only needs boots to go. Next weeks job, if local shops have his size in stock!

There are a number of videos- in stages.
The preparation, the Trip down & the Trip to Normandy- without hijacking the thread they are here & "the prep" has the cameras I used. ( Nikon D80 & Sony TRV33ER with Lanc control.)- I also used a bullet camera, but this can be seen to better effect if you go to youtube and type in "yamaha Fazer 600 york". The cameras come with mounts.

Our kids are now 8 & 12- teh video was taken 2 years ago.

I think you have a window of opportunity when you can take kids on the bike, before they get too "gobby" ...or you disconnect the Autocom!

We often laugh at how they were chatting to each other on the motorway vis Autocom, while listening to some rubbish pop I would not normally listen to!

...p.s best part of our trip was the "snails episode"- well worth watching as a parent!

    Hi Rod

Great vids. Mrs thinks the "snails" episode borders on child cruelty! But then she is a fussy eater. We had some fun keeping her fed in Normandy!

Don't worry about hijacking - I think it's compulsory on XRV - and part of the fun.
