    The Cat rides a Transalp

Red Dwarf "Cat" actor Danny John-Jules' is riding a 7,000-mile challenge in aid of Sports Relief on a Honda XL700V Transalp.

Think we should get in touch with him on, or after, his Iron Butt ride? Perhaps he'll join the Longest Day riders

One other thing they will do is raise the profile of the Transalp.
At least it is the RWB version.

good luck to them, theyre going to need it if their navigation doesnt improve! if you read the story too quickly it says the first 250mi leg of the trip is Ally Pally to the chunnel.
last time i checked it wasnt 250mi from london to dover?

i think its to reims, but could be written better.
reims is cracking by the way, well recommended and i know a v good bavarian restaurant. yes, bavarian. in france. go figure.

but good luck to them, around the med is one of my dream trips, is it really 7000miles? blimey. and in 16 days too.
i thought it was very difficult getting permission to go through libya? and how about israel? i thought some of the others wont let you in if you have an israel stamp in your passport?
or has peace, love and understanding suddenly broken out in the region?
