Thanks I had forgot and I dont get the normal reminders over here
Please correct me if I'm wrong (and often easily so) as I was raised a Muslim and so don't necessarily follow these things right.
All of Europe has Mothers day in May, right next to Fathers day.
Mothering Sunday is listed in the Bible and was very much a Catholic thing as being two Sundays before Easter Sunday, followed by Palm Sunday, Easter Sunday and Quasimodo (yup really, he was found on that day hence the name) yet the only countries I know celebrating it on the correct day are us, mostly protestant, and several of the ex colonies who are not christian. I.e. Pakistan (Muslim) and India (Hindu amongst many others)
Eh ?? I don't get it.....
Oh and it ALWAYS seems to clash with the F1 !! C'mon Bernie give us a chance !!
I think we celebrate it now because it is a quarter day knowns as Ladies day so mothering Sunday. We do not want too many days to call a holiday after all we are British.
More importantly it clashes with Tour of Epynt Home Page
Three guesses where I will be..................
Proper grass roots motorsport
Josh
got my card
