    Congratulations to both of you

Apparently my Dad's response when asked 'Are they twins?' was: 'No. I've got two wives!!'

Fantastic and they look gorgeous, though I can only begin to imagine how tired you must feel at the moment. They'll be worth it, though, years of fun, pleasure and love ahead (oh and yes, expense too!). Enjoy, and yes, bring them over to the National so that we can all coo over them.

    Good job .

Have to say though, they're just tiddlers, should have thrown them back till they were full size, but then at 9-4, 8-10 and 10-4 I can't see my missus wanting to have had ours two at a time

Don't worry though your finances will only be terrible for the next twenty years......................and then it gets expensive

Blimey Dilbert; I'm not sure how they'd have got here if they'd both been that size... these tidlers were enough If I meet your misus and seem to be staring at her oddly, just let her know why

Rest assured, they're fine & healthy now! Twins is bloody hard work mate, but it does get better, it just seems to take longer...

    congratulations & best wishes.
That is a long time moon, must have been hard for you all. Ours were in SCBU for three weeks but had stopped thriving so we brought them home. A few days after birth though, my partner was still in hospital and went down with a v nasty bug so finished up in isolation for about three or four days. Maaan, that was tough, all my babies in hospital and poorly...

Hard going, but we're just in that intense period. They'll be allowed to visit the outside world from next week we think. Good to hear stories of little ones that have thrived after a tough beginning Glad yours are doing so well

    Re: Yorkshire Twin Project

the best bit was when the big jolly midwife announced "oooh that's gonna be a lovely nine pounder" and my wife whimpered "but I'm only having a little one"

So she became known as our little cannonball

Thing is they were all two weeks over term, leave 'em in the oven longer and they rise to bigger size, a bit like Yorkshire puddin's

Glad they're doing well mate, our butcher just had a 4-5 week prem' baby and she's doing really well now, just keep feeding them on the good stuff and they'll be fine

And how are you (everyone forgets to ask Dad how he's doing. I understand. That is fair enough. But I am asking anyway).

    Hiya roomy

Well, round here, they're starting to call me Old Red Eyes. I'm doing the night shift so take over from about 9.30-10.00pm. At first, I manage to get to bed by about four; last night it was closer to 2.00 - but almost three before the little mites finally settled - so we're making progress. Three - four hours' sleep for a man of my youth... no problem

    Back to work tomorrow though

I tell you Chad, I'm beginning to dream of being on my toes. At the moment, staying off my knees is the priority

Thanks Cabby; this was Fletch's idea anyway - over a Guinness at the National In The Lakes. Where is he?, I was hoping to let him know what he'd started
