Condolences Anton, lost my dad in 2001 time is a healer but there still isn't a day goes by when I don't think about him

Anton I am so very sorry, I can't imagine what you must be feeling, the thought of not having my dad with me is too distressing for words.

Please take care, of course you need to support your family but you also need to take time to be sad and to cry for yourself.

My Dad passed on in February i miss him a lot, but like Cabby,s dad he had suffered a great deal over the last 5 years, and i know it was better for him that he went, but to have lost him suddenly when he was in good health would have been a great upset, but on thenother hand it hurt to see a man who had worked on farms used to being outdoors all the time bedridden and unable to get out unassisted, look after your mum and think of the good times,

My condolences M8,it,s hard to be left like that,be strong for your mum because the paperwork is a mine field she could do without.
I lost my mum and mother-in-law last year so I do know what your going through .
Go for a ride somewhere quiet and let it all out.

for what it's worth, I add my condoleances to those already expressed here.

You do right to talk to friends & tap it out on here, I know from experience that it DOES help, strange as it may seem. A number of times I have used this forum or another as something of a crutch, to help through tough times, that's what mate's, albeit virtual ones, are there for. Mourning is right & normal. Let it out. That will leave space for the memories of better times.

Our thoughts a prayers are with you & yours. Look after your mum.

My mum died suddenly, some 7 years ago, still get tears when I think about it. Got them now. Remember the good times, celebrate his life, and don't dwell on the inevitable regrets.

Sadly I know exactly how you are feling right now as my Dad passed away very suddenly just 3 weeks ago and I'm still in a bit of a state myself.
Look after yourself & your family.
