Our sincere condolances Anton. We will remember your dad in our thoughts and prayers.
This made me get in touch with my dad and apologise for a few things I did years ago. He let me off.![]()

So sorry to hear that.
My Dad died two years ago - just before my boy was born - and it still hurts.
Put a picture of him up somewhere where you see it every day.
All the best

What a shame. My dad died in the late 1990s and not a day goes by when I don't miss him.
My wife and I have just split up and one of the upsides is that I'm back living with my mum. I'm making the most of the time I'm spending with her.
Every day is precious, so enjoy the company of those around you. Leave them good memories.

So sorry to hear of your loss and grief and I think its HUGE of you to share this with us and may I say thank you for giving me a reminder to say hi to my dad (I really dont do it often enough) I have just planned a weekend visit to my Dad and Mam after reading your sad piece, my prayers are with you and I do hope my fumbling words of support are somewhat helpful.
I am so sorry for your loss. Grief is all consuming and makes us feel angry, sad and even alone in a room full of people, but it can also be seen as a measure of how truly and deeply we loved the person we have lost.
My thoughts are with you and your family.
So sorry to hear this Anton.
Anton, we've never met, but that doesn't matter, you are an XRVer, so of course we are friends. I'd like to add my very sincere condolences to all that has been said before. It must be very hard for you right now, and nothing that is said is going to make that much better but I'll say it anyway. We are all thinking of you, and wishing you strength to deal with this. As others have said, there will come a time when the good memories are what matter most, and you will cherish them as they bring a smile to your face, even as you shed a silent tear for your sadness as you think of all the wonderful things your father did for you. And you WILL want to ride the bike and be a part of the world, again. You know that it is what your dad would want for you. And he will be looking over you and smiling too...
Take courage from us all, my friend. We are here for you.
