I have a Vio Pov bullet camera and separate recorder - it's pricey kit BUT one feature that is useful is the loop record - basically it loops an amount of time you set - say 2 minutes - then when you hit the handlebar button it simply keeps the last (previous) 2 mins and stores on the sd card in high red quality - basically you make the decision to record AFTER the fact!

Methinks I am going to fit it permanently!

The buses now have cameras on a recording loop of two weeks.
They record all the cameras 8 in total.
They do get used in court cases as evidence.
