    Nikon Canon Airhead Oil head

Now Sean, I'm ready for your response
This is just a personal observation.
But, I feel Nikon had the greatest manual cameras.
When autofocus came along, I feel Canon knocked them off their perch.
I feel the same way with BMW. The new bikes are great, but general reliability wise, I feel the airheads are where BM built their reputation.
Now, I know I'll hear from a lot of BM riders and I was very happy with my oil head, this is just a feeling of mine not a criticism.
BTW, I spent over six years selling camera kit.

Me Too! Had em both over the years. Nikon generally better made. Canon stole a march with earlier digi models but Nikon right back in the game (see Andy Rouse work!). Currently on a D300 and love it, but remember it's the glass thats the really important bit!

Mmm, I think what I was saying has been missed
I hear a lot about problems with newer BMs, I don't remember this with airheads.
And, to keep up with you guys and bearing in mind I worked for CCE so prices were great, I had a Nikon F4 and an F801.
But, as past cameras, I'd also had an Can A1, EOS10, F601, OM1 and 2, FM, FM2 FE, Nikkormat EL, Trip, Kiev, Mamiya C330, ZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Now use a Lumix FZ28. Brilliant quality, cracking zoom, better focusing than me; all round cracker

Where Canon win hands down is on the range and quality of their lenses in particular the "L" series (although grossly overpriced)

Although a Canon convert now If Minolta were still manufacturing I'd probably still be using their kit (not a huge fan of the Sony take on this)

SnapHappy you used a Sinar! I doff my cap to you, I'm not worthy

DigitalCaptive, I don't think Minoltas pricing and range was as aggressive, but boy they made some cracking lenses.
