    Unhappy Last nights bike meet

Last night me and a mate went to a Local meet at Hayle roundabout the location is a McDonalds about 200 bikes came and went throught out the evening, may be more. This was the first time i've been there for the year and only went as my mate wanted to advirtise his ZX10.
Bear in mind it's Bank holiday weekend Traffic in Cornwall probably the busiest week of the year. There's hundreds of people not knowing where they are coming from or going to.
There was no noticeable police presence it's normally got a few hidden away though. Around 1930-2000hrs we saw a police car go screaming past, went to see what happened and found this...

Now that roundabout is less tham 20metres from the meet. The people left the meet, entered the roundabout and he was either hit from the side by a girl in a saxo and taken out or he saw the saxo coming and hit the brakes and high sided the bike ( personally i don't think there was enough distance or speed to highside in that distance) either way this has ruined his next couple of months....

Guys please be careful and think for other people as well as yourselves a split second miscalculation and this could be any of us.

Sorry for photo quality it was from my mobile and the bike was a 954 Fireblade will watch local papers now to see what happened

The meet was roughtly 15metres behind the red van in the first photo

So easy to come to grief. That looks like a lot of time recovering and physio. That'd put a downer on any bike meet.

It's not a case of whether we can fix it or not - it's more a case of how fixed would you like it?

At the point when i left i think the paramedics suspected a broken pelvis and they were continuing to asses him, like i say i left them at the point no point getting in the way and the police were still asking for witnesses, but they did have the Saxo and the girl driving it. Hopefully will find out more soon but rumours had already gone around. When i got to work this morning at 0530 i was told there was an accident and the biker was stuck in the car and had to be lifted out. Where the stories come from is unbeleiveable very good imaginations i suspect

here's hoping he's makes a good recovery and is back in the saddle soon.

had a close shave myself last night with the wife on the back, makes you think when that happens

I do hope the rider is ok.
On my way to work this evening I saw four drivers on their mobile phones while driving, this was in less than five minutes.
If this accident had involved a mobile then the driver will get the blame regardless of the circumstances.
YOU ONLY NEED TWO TOOLS IN LIFE - WD-40 AND DUCT TAPE. IF IT DOESN'T MOVE AND SHOULD, USE THE WD-40. IF IT SHOULDN'T MOVE AND DOES, USE THE DUCT TAPE
