Big up to BobA
He has been with me all day helping strip my original Africa Twin, which is now ready for a trip to the frame straightener.
Then the engine comes out and the leaky gasket replaced, while Bob gets the frame powdercoated.
Been a great day, really successful, so thanks Bob.
It started with having to rebuild it a bit. The swing arm came off and a mix of grease on good bearings and new bearings on the shot bits went in, then wheels were added to make it moveable.
Then we removed everything - wiring, front and rear sub-frames, radiators, exhaust, pannier rails and crash bars, carbs, you name it.
Several cups of a tea and some homemade walnut sausage rolls seemed to keep him fueled up.
Getting all excited about this project again now.
