    Rallye Oasis (Paris-Dakar)

Old news for some, but I'll post them anyway.

(I really like the guy with the standard Airhead, either crazy, or with balls the size of the bikes cylinders)

    http://api.ning.com/files/PWkJy4Wl7y...kBkf1/1483.jpg

Yammaha XT500 promotion films, (The XT in the race were really TT500 machines with XT labels to promote sales of the XT):

    Honda promotion films:

    with snow???

    1987:

(The Works Honda is sounding fantastic, as do the BMW)

Last film, at 3:30 Neveu is nervously awaiting for Auriol to turn up.
After some time Neveu understands that something has gone wrong.
    Auriol is late.
He have had a bad crash breaking bothe his foot ankels in the process. Despite this he manages to restart his bike and continue to the next stop.

He finally turns up, driving at high speed towards the stage finish, crossing the line he stops and leans forward on his bike crying " I'm in pain, I'm in terrible pain"
The race for Auriol ends there, and Neveu can drive and win the final stage without being chased by Auriol.

Some pictures not that common on the Interweb:

I knew You and Snaphappy would like it!

Yes the first years were the best IMHO, just about anyone with fysics good enough, and a modified XT500 could do it, and even finnish amongst the top ten.

I suspects it's been crushed as I've never seen any recent pictures of it

    Very Good!
It's actually "Jag tackar så mycket" and You would surely make Yourself perfectly understood here, if the rest of Your Swedish is on par with that level.
