Copy and paste - control-c and control-v - takes seconds. And I drive a keyboard for a living, so typing is not a big deal

Well, I think I explained above I didn't mean it to seem like I has having a go, and I've apologised for that, and as for things being "fake" - well, they wind me up

I like to find the truth about things. Myths, stories, urban legends especially. It's a hobby. I don't know why, I think it's because there are so many fantastic true stories and events in the world that it seems daft to let fake stuff slide.

So when I see things like the above, or people mindless parroting rubbish about the EU banning bendy bananas [1] or "the government" banning nursery rhymes [2] or the old favourite about councils replacing Christmas with "Winterval" [3] or the one about kids having to wear goggles to play conkers [4] I just get a bit of an urge to pontificate.

But, like you said, you don't have to read my posts, either, so no harm done, eh?

Working in IT can give one a particular dislike of this typical email circulated drivel. It's frequently the case that, at first viewing in 1996, it was mildly amusing. By the time you've received the latest incarnation along with the 50+ copies you've had in the meantime each including your email address in the "To" field along with 250 other unconnected people, it really loses its appeal.

By the time you factor in all the "Worst virus ever and even Microsoft haven't got a fix" type emails that people seem to think you need to be informed of due to working "in IT", the last thing you want is for this regurgitated hilarious nonsense to invade your leisure time.

If you find one of these 'gems' in chatter by mistake, and this sort of thing annoys you, just don't read it.

So, the place for this is in the "Jokes" section where the borderline OCD IT Geeks don't go.
