    small spring

I need to locate a tiny spring. My dad's old camper van is bust and he cannot source a replacement spring for a relay (see the burred pic). It is tiny, smaller than the 5p piece in the pic.

The exact spring details are as follows:
    Metric
    The wire diameter is .3302mm
The dia of the body of the spring is 3.1242mm
The length of the body less the two fixing loops and unexpanded is 4.2418mm

    same thing in imperial is:
    The wire diameter is .013"
The dia of the body of the spring is .123"
The length of the body less the two fixing loops and unexpanded is .167"

So anyone any idea where he can get one?

    I have this one

    3.4mm dia
    4mm long
    0.3mm wire gauge

It's brass in colour so no idea how springy it is.

Might be easier to source a different relay.

Chris just a thought but why dont you get a long spring of the same type ,heat it up ,cut and bend the loops, heat it up again ,douse it in cold water to get the temper back.
I have done this on many a spring as they are like hens teeth to get the right one when you need it.

Oh and i'll have a look when I am at work tomorrow I must have something close to that somewhere.

It's called being made redundant over a monthy ago!!!! Too much bl**dy time on my hands.
Even doctor's surgeries reception jobs and other office jobs have turned me down. Jeesh I'm not that old!
