    Heavy rain, where ?

There is a weather warning for Sunday, Heavy Rain and strong winds, "where?", I hear you ask?

    The West coast of Scotland.

Well, you would never belive it would you, in this sunny, hot, balmy, misty Isle of Skye. Rain and wind?

(There was fresh snow on the tops (Applecross Pass) last night)

There's some cracking punctuation in this post. (More into maths, me)

Well at least no grip problems, spent my honeymoon on Skye. P'd it down for four days (good reason stay in bed if ever i heard one) but the wind was so strong the rain was horizontal so the roads stayed dry

Well it had to come didn't it

Can't complain, working near Staffin in Skye, been dry for the last two or three weeks, maybe a shower overnight, but nothing major.Been p1ssing down in Inverness

Was on the hill last week setting out a new water pipe, went on at 11am, off at 7pm, absolutely cream crackered, made the mistake of leaving my water bottle in the car
First time in a long time... couldn't find water on the hill,in Skye FFS, and I was at low level as well !!!

Bit peculiar for this time of year

Glad you explained that John! Been a fair bit of rain in Morayshire this last couple of weeks!

Saying that, my big outdoors contract this week was renewing a gas main in Ballintore on Thursday, raining when we left Elgin but turned out a nice day in Ballintore, was watching the Tornado's strafing the old tower at Tain at lunchtime!
On call this weekend so not fussed about the rain coming, but looking for better weather soon to get out west on the bikes!

Don't know what wa going on, but last week we were getting buzzed every day by fighters. There was an exercise the week before which involved frigates, landing craft and the like. The fighters were coming in really low ( either that or I was very high up )

But this week, fighters only, usually a pair. Get a bit of a sh1tter when the first one passes, then you learn to wait for his mate !!

Quite often get military choppers flying over head here, heard a strange one going over last week, looked out and it was an Apache, flying over the Skye bridge, looked quite strange.
