    Biker-friendly campsites

Just thought I'd share a few biker-friendly campsites I've enjoyed over the years. All are touring sites rather than 'holiday-park' type ventures.

How about adding yours and building up a 'recomended campsites' resource?

    Scotland:
Red Squirrel Campsite, Leacantuim Farm, Glencoe, Argyll. 01855 811256
Campfires allowed when I was last there.

Dalcham Campsite, Brora, Highlands. 01408 621479
    Small, good level pitches.

Ardgartan Caravan & Camping Site, Arrochar, Argyll. 01301 702293
Lovely site. Good showers and the guy who runs it had a Suzuki GS750.

Forestry Commission Campsite, Balmacara, Kyle of Lochalsh, Highlands. 01320 366322
Allowed campfires last time I was there. No shower facilities

    England
Wasdale Campsite (NT), Wasdale Head, Gosforth, Cumbria. 01946 726220
    Simply a stunning location

Turner Hall Farm Campsite, Dunnerdale, Cumbria. 01229 716420
Small site, handy for Wrynose and Hardknott passes and the excellent Newfield Inn

    France
Never had a bad experience camping in France but this site stands out amongst the best...

    Camping Municipal des 3 Chateaux, Ribeauville, Alsace de Vosages, France. 00 33 (0)3 89 73 60 26
