    Automatic Transmission oil

    Hi,
And now for something completely different.
Has anyone ever changed automatic transmission oil on a car? Is this the same procedure as the normal engine oil?

    Thanks.

AFAIR, yes! Get it warmed up etc, so you don't have to wait for ages to drain it.

Oh yes warm it up bear in mind that you will not get all the oil out it sits in the tourgue converter etc.
If the level was right before do yourself a favour and measure the amount that comes out then just replace said amount if not bear in mind the engine and gearbox have to be properly warmed up to get the correct level.
