    Hein Gericke New Gear

    All
Ok so now that we've had 2 sunny mornings in a row, I've got to work looking like I came via Miami, (or anywhere that makes you really sweaty). Must get summer jacket. Found Hein Gericke shops on internet, but I don't think they are in Ireland - there is however a shop in Belfast.
So question is - Are they/mechandise any good, and is the shop in Belfast worth a trip up?
    regards
    Chucky

I own a pair of tuareg rally trousers and if they worn out will buy another pair immediately. Never been cold or to hot as you can take the liner out.

Not 100% waterproof though but I wear rain suit trousers anyway over when it pisses down. I have looked at the tuareg jackets but can't get myself to hand over £200 even though I think it is worth it.

    Hello Chucky

Hein Gericke is always worth a look around and most of there stuff is good value. Even if you don't buy anything it's a good excuse to go for a ride.

It's not a bad shop in Belfast really. Might be worth having a skim through the HG catalogue/website and if there's anything you like you could check if they have it first.

Not really anywhere else in Belfast that I know of that has decently priced gear..

    New Gear

    Thanks everyone
It sounds like its worth a spin up to check it out.
Everything I've looked at so far in the south is ridiculously overpriced compared to what I've seen on UK / American / German websites.

Plus its an excuse for a 200 mile round trip!!!

Hope it doesn't rain / too hot sunny / snow / - bugger it, it is Ireland

I have just bought the Heine Gericke Toureg Rally outfit. I am well pleased so far.

It did cost £410 with the gloves as well, but they gave me a 10% discount.

I sold the Laser produro can to part fund it and will be selling my Frank Thomas outfit to further fund it as well.

It fits well and goes well with the bike.

I've found HG kit is good quality at reasonable cost. Winter gloves done 3yrs, waterproof overjacket done 5yrs.

Just bought £50 'Air2' trousers for summer after betty swollocks last year in the pyrenees in leathers - cool but armoured.

It'll be worth the ride if the shop has plenty of stock in your size.

Thanks to the Germans for providing such sweet music as
    Air for your G String
Seems Bach knew a thing about Betty Swollocks

Quite fancy the Air2 myself - hope they have my size, I'm a sveldt and athletic 38incher
