    just bought an autocom kitt-3

Got chatting down the pub to one of the bikers who has a bike shop. We started talking about bikeintercoms, and he tells me he has some old stock, and that if i see anything I fancy, he'll do me a good deal.

at the risk of being abducted and held as his gimp, I followed him back to his shop, where, for the bargin sum of £100 he sold me he last Autocom Kit-3. The list price being £150. Wot a deal.

I didnt have to perform any lude sexual acts or wear a leather gimp mask either.

Oh, go on. Just tell us the truth, what have you (two) done?

But congrats. I really enjoy having a bike intercom. Have fun!

    Here's mine under the rack.

Music lead fed into mini DAB radio in the topbox - PlanetRock all the way!

I probably look a doughnut nodding my head as I ride along:
"I'm a cowboy, on a steeeeeeel horse I ride, I'm wanted, dead or aliiiiiive."

I've never tried the intercom or phone link. I ride solo and I'll be f**ked if I'm going to answer the phone on the road.

Mine is connected direct to battery negative, switched live is into the rear brake light connector.

The only downside is you cannot adjust volume on the move unless you mount the music source within reach. The only way to turn sounds off is to pull the connecter out.

On last week's trip to London I really enjoyed the sounds. With DAB the signal is either solid or off, depending on if they broadcast to your location. The connecting wire acts as the aerial and it doesn't matter which way you are facing unlike a portable FM. Listening to music is the same as in a car, if it's not too loud you still hear traffic fine - probably better.

The placement of the headphones takes a bit of setting up to get spot-on.

Just plug your favourite motorcycle tune in and RIDE.

Finally managed to get it all plugged in and working this evening. Popped to Maplin this afternoon, and bought a power connector (the type used to connect battery packs to model cars), and scotch locked it to the 12v power socket, so it uses the same perminant live and fuse. Having difficulty getting the phone to work, but guess im gonna hve to get a proppa connector for it.
MP3 player works well, and I have sorted the VOX out, so I can sing along and hear myself at high speed !!!.

Now, all I need to buy is a compatible PMR Radio
