Autocom

With the current 50% price reductions at Autocom I've got myself the Pro 7 Sport system.

I'm virtually all set-up but wanted to ask advice from anyone else that is using one with the AT.

The main problem I'm having at the moment is with the wind noise at around 70 /80 mph.
I have an Arai Quantum F helmet with the standard screen on the AT if that helps.
Previously I have always used ear plugs.
I've got the VOX turned up so that it doesn't cut in, but I find that with ear plugs in at 70 mph I can't hear anything. I'd stand no chance of having a phone conversation with anyone, whereas one of my mates on a 1150GS reckons he can do that quite happily at 100mph.
If I take the earplugs out I get deafened by wind noise.

So any ideas? Do I fit a different screen to try to keep the wind noise down?

Dave, I have the kitt-3. I can have a phone conversation at about 80 no problem. the other person tells me it sounds like im speaking in a box though.
Audio is not bad with my Nolan Flip. Its all down to the positioning of the ear pieces. took me about 6 attempts before I found the "g" spot!

I have a Quantum F. As above getting the speakers in exactly the right spot took a few attempts. Once they're fitted under the cheek pad covers you can forget about them.

I don't use the phone/intercom bit so can't comment but music is fine upto 80. I don't use earplugs.

There's no way I'm having my ride interrupted by a phone call!

dave i had the same problem...
put your lid on and stck your fingers up the side and check that the middle of the speaker is as close to the centre of your ear as poss....if need be move them as much as you can to get a centre.

then go and ride for an hour....you might find the best sound is not always the most comfy !

once sorted they work great.....i have had loads of calls at 100 mph plus and never had much trouble
i use a BMW system 4 , and a roof boxter by the way....(not both at once !)

I have the starcom system but it works at those speeds. The key is moving the speakers. They need to be smack in the middle of the ear and then just shifted a little if that is uncomfortable.
