Has anyone got a Baglux tank bag?

My wife has bought me one for christmas and it just arrived the other day. I had ordered it along with a Powerbronze screen from Busters and got the discount. i was a bit nervous after reading the stories about your credit card number being used by other people if you bought of Busters. They phoned me just after i ordered the stuff and said that they had the screen and would send it out straight away but they didn't have the City Trail tank bag instock so would have it sent straight from Baglux at no extra cost to me. Funny thing was when i got my credit card bill it was £20 more than it should be but i think thats been sorted now.

So here is it on the bike. I'm well pleased!

Anyway the thing i was going to say was that i noticed when looking online at these that the rain cover was an EXTRA £19! I think this is a bit extreme as the bags aren't the cheapest to start with. As i'm rather tight i didn't bother ordering one. However when i opened my parcel the other day there was what appeared to be a rain cover inside as you can see below.

Is this the £19 rain cover? if so then i just got it free or was that the extra £20 on my credit card bill? I'm not paying for something i didn't order!

Mine came with a cover built in too, so I think that is part of the deal.

Maybe it's £19 for a new cover after you lose the old one somewhere. I had one in my Baglux tankbag too.
3 Africa Twins/280,000 miles. If it's happened to one of mine, it's gonna happen to one of yours.....eventually.

1 Varadero/34,000 miles ridden (of 57,000 miles on the bike), it's all still new to me!

I think you must be right. That makes sense.

You've got the same bag as I have. It came with the rain cover included, and the shop I bought it from also chucked in an extra carrying strap (so the bag can be worn like a rucksack) for free. I've had mine for 18 months now, and the rain cover is beginning to fray around the elastic. I think it doesn't like being chilled too much, makes the plastic quite brittle. Other than that I've been well pleased with the bag. To reduce the chance of the rain cover being lost, feed the front eyelets of the bag through the rain cover rather than just pull the cover over the bag.

Yes i got that strap too, i suppose it would be handy. i noticed the eyelit thingys. I actually found my bag very hard to clip in. i think its just because i've had the tank cover on the bike since i got it and it has stretched a bit out of shape. They do seem like nice bags. Its exactly the size i was wanting, just enough for a packed lunch and a spare fleece.

    Onto my third bag.
First one got ripped of on a crash so I bought a big one for touring and a smaller one for days out. The big one came with a rain cover built into a pocket the cover was optional on the smaller one. If you ever damage the locking clips on the bag or tank harness they can be obtained from Baglux. I needed some after my get off and they sent them free of charge.

Its the Baglux seat cover. The guy i bought the bike off had bought both things and but no tank bag. He actually wasn't using the tank cover, so he give it to me a few weeks after i bought the bike from him. The seat cover was just put over the original one so i can take it of if i wanted but why bother as i haven't seen anyone else with one yet.
