    AT Owners on the Map

Now that I've regained the use of my fingers after yesterday's kinda chilly run from Forest of Dean back to Southampton, I've been having a play with Frappr(http://www.frappr.com/) the GoogleMaps spinoff and wondered if anyone else would like to see a map of AT owners. If so, how can I get everybody's location without swamping my inbox? Moderators? Suggestions? With each tag, it's possible to associate pix of everyone's two-wheeler, favourite routes etc....

thats a really good idea. i guess if we just give you our postcode then that will sort it out. I suppose if members only send you one e-mail with any information they want included rather than one e-mail for each peace of info.

Don't want to put a downer on this one, but if I was a thief and found this, I'd jump for joy...

Postcode is too specific, town would be OK....but not a small village...

Okay, I'll get it started. Anybody who's interested can send me either a street address or a near approximation thereof (like a PostCode). BNG/lat-longs coords off your GPS also accepted.

Send any info you'd don't mind putting out in the public domain and I'll try to put it all together. I'd like a map of decent bike-friendly pubs as well so if you have any information along that line I'll post that as well.

Would be nice to see where everybody is even if we never actually meet up, I'm not a big one for rideouts, but we could exchange local info' more easily (speed camera location, traffic news, etc).

Would be really good if we could include our far-flung members too, just to see how diverse we are, if people wanted to participate they could put their home town into their profile and you could lift them from there, problem is a lot of the guys may prefer to stay anonymous.

Good point, FewTrees. After some bad experiences, my trusty AT is in a vault and I sleep better for it. Town only it is, then.

hadn't really thought about that. Town only would do and then if you wanted to meet up you could always PM someone through the site. Make sure the Northern Ireland members put there actual town down though cause i know that a few of them just put Belfast because you english members tend to not know where Newtownards is never mind actually heard of it before.

Yep town is good, and I think it would be good to see where everyone is.

Well, if you want to put yourself on the map, just go to http://www.frappr.com/africatwinowners and add your location. Pix encouraged!! How accurately you want to portray your location is up to you.
