    Alpinestars leathers

I've just bought an Alpinestars Stella GP Plus jacket and Alpinestars Track Pants and can definitely recommend both. I wore them both for the first time today for about 4 hours and did 110 miles. The weather was grey and it rained on occasion.

The jacket - very comfortable from the start. The jacket fits very well, holding the armour in place but is still very soft. The neck is neoprine (wet suit material) and was uncomfortable in the shop for 5 minutes but was fine on the ride today. I wear my own back protector (Forcefield pro2) and it fitted perfectly under the jacket with no pressure on the straps. I only had a t-shirt on and was warm enough. There are four pockets on the inside (including one with a zip)and two on the outside so plenty of places to put keys, wallets and ear plugs.

Trousers- incredibly comfortable and zip up with the jacket. I was able to kneel down and crouch whilst off the bike and move about on the bike. The crotch area is Kevlar so you don't lose any height.

They're easy to get on and off. The only downside is that the trousers have in built shin pads so if you've large calf muscles your boots won't do up unless you remove the pads (I wear Sidi Rain Evos).

Both the trousers and jacket are easy to walk about in and coped well with the rain.

These are obviously great if your short and small!

I'm not offended. The trousers are a size 6 and the jacket an 8. There is plenty of room (cough) in the jacket. Mine is all black but there is a black and white version in both.

I got mine at 'Girls bike 2' in London Colney. They have a website GirlsBike2 - Motorcycle clothing chosen for women by women give them a call as they're very helpful. Ask for Pam. They're closed Mondays. There's a good range of leathers but the above need ordering in. Price £626.

Haha. Sorry, I typed that post on my iPhone as my Wi-Fi is refusing to work today. I've got predictive text and haven't proof read properly. Thanks for pointing it out.

If you could be a love and insert an 'e' in the title you'll become my second favourite Scotsman (Kelly Brown is gorgeous isn't he?).

    Re: Alpinestars leathers

I went to the Chester branch of Hein Gericke last Friday, for their closing down sale. They had loads more womens' than mens' clothing there, as they had apparently over-stocked. I'm sure I saw some Alpinestars gear. And they are such a friendly, helpful bunch there: I can't speak highly enough about their attitude, they even gave us a cup of tea while we were looking. Well, I was looking: my better half was waiting, drinking tea and grumbling. Serves her right for taking me shopping....hehehe, revenge really is sweet.
