GPS routes

Would it be useful if we had a section within the 'Great Roads/Routes' section that enabled members to upload GPS data files - I use Garmin so would use the gdb file format, but I'm aware there are others.

aehh yes,but i think we also would need a step by step explanation on how to use it in the wiki maybe
cause i would not know what to do with the stuff
pretty much like with all stuff i've got for my bike which is still in my garage

The file restrictions are not really a problem as there's lots of software out there (freeware or shareware) that will allow conversion of all typres of GPS data (KML being the most prevelant)

An update for this suggestion - this is being looked into as there are several options available, and we need to make sure we use the right one on the forum.

Zombie thread alert Just a bump because I was looking around to see if there was anywhere to find or put gps routes and couldn't find anything, so was just going to suggest it myself. Was anything ever done in the end and where is it if so ?
