    Freecycle type sub-section

I was just about to offer a digital camera on my local Freecycle site when I had an idea. How about a freecycle-esque sub-section in the For Sale/Wanted area for bike or non-bike stuff which we don't want any money for but would happily give away for a small donation to the site?

I have sent out a couple of things in this way to members and the way I see it, everyone is a winner. I free up space in my garage, someone gets the bit that they've been looking for, and the site, which I use almost daily, gets a little helping hand too.

(If anyone can use a Canon Sureshot A40 2mp camera - perfect working order, takes 4 x AA batteries, 256meg CF card incl. - it's yours for a fiver donation.)

You can use the for sale and wanted section for this, when I wanted to get rid of my old seat for the transalp I posted in there with a free to a good home but you must make a donation to the site.

Pigugly anted it, I got garage space, Mrs Pigugly got a lowered seat and the site got a donation

Could be an idea to put a subsection in the for sale and wanted for it will make sure the moderators have a chat about it.

I think you'll need to offer an incentive for that one.

You have this the wrong way round. You make a donation and if it is high enough, we'll take her off your hands.

Great Idea, I'm sure we all have gear (wether bike related or not) that we want rid of but that may be of use to someone.
