instant messaging window for subscribed members would be great, it would cut down on chatter forums that are only used once and in system for ages and would be generally quite neat app

This is a great idea and is something we are already working on but we can't do this until Dave has finished tweaking and updating all the other bits and pieces and the forum has moved to the new server.
