How about a "How To" section

I found a "How To" section while browsing another forum (Rover - trying to find a fix for V's car. Honest.....) and thought what a great idea, could have sub-sections specific to each bike etc.

I know that there are Stickies and the Wiki which kinda covers this area but perhaps would be more beneficial as a section in its own right?

    Just a thought

It's not a case of whether we can fix it or not - it's more a case of how fixed would you like it?

The Rovers were OK, had a couple of Landys in the past - another story altogether - had one that was ok, the rest were complete dogs and I mean DOGS.
But I don't like talking about it......

The problem is filling the section up, so regular contributions.
If we can sort that side then yes we'll discuss the mechanism.

Point made Dave, but I'm sure there is enough to cover it going from the basic plug/oil changes to tappet checks to changing tyres yourself and stuff like rebuilding brakes, the AT fuel pump replacement & tripmaster fix etc etc.

Lots of questions/queries have been covered in depth somewhere in the past, a search often reveals pages & pages of banter/p*ss taking etc!
(nothing wrong with that but it doesn't make it easy for someone trying to cure a problem)

Ok well the natural answer to this is to use the Wiki.
It's crying out for this sort of info, and is made just for this type of stuff.

We don't really utilise it though as it's not totally integrated with the forum.
