How about keeping the current threads seperate from the completed threads, ie if someone finds what they want, or sells what they have to sell, then the thread gets moved to a sub folder maybe? Or if this isnt possible, or isnt convenient, then maybe a flag on the thread as "closed"?

Chris I do try to keep on top of the for sale stuff and close it but sometime life does get in the way.

I think it is a challenge Chris sorting the wheat from the chaff and your fellow members don't help by taking every single thread off topic!

I think it's tough to do this though, and there really isn't any automated way to do this.
I'll have a think on it.

in the Sale forum could you give each item a shelf life, based on thread creation date? if things don't sell, then people could just re-post it - not a lot of effort....
