    Chatbox location.

Sorry if someone has mentioned this before. As a general "techno numpty", I just wondered if the chatbox location is 'fixed'?
I only see it if I go to the forums button at the top right. If I browse the different sections and threads, it disappears or at least just stays where it is. Is it possible to get it to stay with you where ever you 'roam' on the site?

    Re: Chatbox location.

    Hi Don.
Thanks for the feedback. I know exactly what you mean.
I could add it to every forum page in the same location, but.......
I suspect that there are many people that aren't interested in the chat, so I need to find the right balance between it being intrusive but people finding it.

You can click on the Chatbox full and open it in a separate window, but you then need to keep checking the window to see what's going on!

Also this is still in pilot really so trying to find the right location. I could put it at the bottom of every page, but we may be going a bit far then!

    Cheers
    Dave

    Re: Chatbox location.

I usually put the "chatbox full" on, & then open another window with to browse the rest of the forum & toggle back a forth depending on what's going on. Not complicated (even I manage it...). I think size, location & "intrusiveness is about right.

I think position and placement is fine, I must say if it was on every page I would find it intrusive
Don you could open two separate windows and resize them to sit side by side or above one another, your name disappears from the chat when the page is not active but you can still follow
