    10th Pharaons Rally

latest info on the Pharaons Rally, September 30th - October 6th 2007

    Press release #6

The 10th Pharaons Rally direct broadcast on France Television

The 2007 Pharaons Rally increasingly stands for the most appealing and the most demanded Off Road Rally of this season.
The great news is the happy end of the agreement with France Télévision that will broadcast every evening around 8 p.m.
a Pharaons Special with its correspondent Brandet along the program “Tous les Sports” (counting beyond 4,000,000
    audience share).

It’s a crucial acknowledgement for Jvd International and for the whole team that has worked with dedication and
passion along these 10 years; this being a greater push to realize an outstanding edition.

Pharaons has nevertheless – beside France Television – a brilliant TV coverage, here below listed (list still to be finalized)
that will broadcast its race 2007:

    MOTORS TV (France et Europe),
    RTBF (Belgium),
    0-RACEWORLD TV (UK),
    EUROSPORT (Europe),
    TF1 (France),
    TV5 (World),
    RTL TELEVISION (Netherland),
    FRANCE 24 (International),
    CFI (International),
    EURONEWS (International),
    BFM TV (International),
    I TELE (France),
    LCI (France),
    L'EQUIPE TV (France),
    ESPN Classic Sport (International),
    INFOSPORT (France),
M6 (France), TVP - Polish Television (Poland),
    RaiSport Sat (Italy),
    Nuvolari (Italy),
    Sportitalia (Italy),
    Moto TV (Italy),
Circuito Super Six – 27 TV (Italy).

Talking about participants, we have passed 90 motorbike entries. Thus positively able to reach one hundred,
which would set without hesitation our Egyptian event as the most attended after the Dakar.

Along the four wheels of both cars and trucks, there is similar notice from the main Italian and non Italian
teams, but enrollments – as in past editions - come along quite after the two wheels.

Last but not least; the Chilean pilot Carlo De Gavardo, , has announced - along a press conference in
Santiago - his new projects on four wheels. Three time off-road world champion, he now takes off into this
new adventure shifting to car races. A Dmax van given by the Chilean General Motors will be sent to Italy
into the capable hands of the GT Offroad in order to be prepared for the Chilean pilot participation to the
Pharaons 2007. Beside him, another biker, his friend and mate since many years, the French Jean Brucy.

    Re: 10th Pharaons Rally

    Press Release N.01/2008 – 20th January 2008

11° Pharaons International Cross Country Rally

    PHARAONS IS DIFFERENT

We are in a delicate moment of the cross country rallies.
The Dakar cancellation puts the whole speciality into a crisis: teams that are in trouble, pilots that don’t
know what they can propose to the sponsors as alternative events, our world is looking itself in the mirror
and it’s asking which will be the future.

Someone talks about new rallies that are being studied by ASO, other rallies that are moving their dates,
obliging pilots and teams to do choices that, at the end, will damage everyone: a discouraging situation,
some other rallies are talking about their cancellation.
In this panorama the Pharaons International Cross Country Rally distinguishes itself for the certitudes that it
is able to offer to the passionate.

    “Pharaons is different”, because:
The dates: as usual the Pharaons is between the end of September and the first week of October, after the
summer pause there is the time for the last final touches to the vehicles before the embarkation to Egypt,
from the other side the vehicles will be back two months before the Dakar (before its cancellation).
The date is the first certitude, we are always there.
The place: Egypt is a magic country, with the desert and the sand most beautiful of the world, we are not
the only one to say it, clear we love it, but all the ones that have had the lucky to take part in it confirm this
opinion with enthusiasm. Sand, sand, and sand again! Pure amusement in a succeed of beautiful
    landscapes.
The place is the second certitude, it will not disappoint you.
The track: as usual the Pharaons 2008 will have 7 stages, for a total of nearly 3000 kms, with minimum
transfers (only 120 kms during the 2007 edition) and with start and arrival of the selective sections near the
    bivouacs.
There will be many sections absolutely cross country and some stages will be as a “boucle”, let the main
rally group on the same bivouac for 2 stages, this will be very appreciated by the assistances. After all a
2008 innovation: there will be a “marathon” stage to put all at the same level, professional and private. The
track, third certitude, unique in the African panorama.....
