It's only common sense really..
Back in '96 I was active in a television newsgroup and we used to use SPOILER in the title quite often as the show was show on sky then a month later on bbc. Everyone who didn;t have sky complained about the sky users posting the plot before they even had a chance to watch the program. If you are going to put in a spoiler then also put in what the spoiler is about (e.g "SPOILER: Dakar 2008 results") that way those happy with updates but not the result can read the other dakar posts .
