RE. "Spoilers" in thread titles??

This is shamelessly nicked from ADV rider, but can we agree that no result/story spoilers are in thread titles, or early on without warning in posts, so people who want to read on and find out, or in some cases watch and see, don't get upset?

Its a bit like the old " if you don't want to know the results, look away now" system.

If we agree this the mods have the right to edit etc thread titles to remove spoilers.

Any comments??

It's only common sense really..

Back in '96 I was active in a television newsgroup and we used to use SPOILER in the title quite often as the show was show on sky then a month later on bbc. Everyone who didn;t have sky complained about the sky users posting the plot before they even had a chance to watch the program.

If you are going to put in a spoiler then also put in what the spoiler is about (e.g "SPOILER: Dakar 2008 results") that way those happy with updates but not the result can read the other dakar posts .

I'm shure no harm was meant (and fewtrees did a great quick fix on the awards wind up thread didn't he ).Anyhows lets hope Iswoolly still gives us the last install when he gets back ? He was in the same hotel as me at the Stella and I never got round to telling him,that between all the crap people like myself post just to ad to the sprit of the site, content and photo wise his stuff stands out as real top dog,.Keep on it Iian..............Mudwiz.Yes man. Well I did till a helicopter crashed recently!!! Mind you I bet he'll still be racing this year and a few drivers will catch a glimpse of him in the distance
