    off road training days

    off road training days...

ok this was in the pipeline for later next year (as its part of another on going project ) but if people are interested then no reason why it cannot be brought forward.

    The idea is either:

a one day specific course run to help those that want to learn a bit more from an established FIM rider about bike control and basic off road techniques. Location is a private 200acre wood/farm in mid wales.

a two day course with the above but with a second day thats more in depth and will use the nearby FIM enduro track. option for camping or B+B.

I guess its no big deal to also do some sort of combination of the two so you can choose either day or both, no restriction is made on the bike however obviously its got to be suitable for the course you choose.

Now from here on its up to you guys ( term used non sexually specific.. ).. this wont happen till April at the earliest so for the next month please shout as to what you want from this course and i will do my best to try and sort it..
suggestions on the lines of course content, course length, number of course places available, camping or b+B etc etc will be helpful. Also is there any rider that you specifically don't or do want as I'm good at twisting arms...

    Reminds me of the joke:
Waiter this lobster only has one claw.
He lost the other in a fight, Sir.
    Well bring me the winner.

Much as I admire Boorman's attempt I'd rather have someone who finished, or even won a race.

    Re: off road training days

I'd prefer something slightly higher standard than bushes for bogs. Somewhere warm and dry we can eat our sarnies might be a good idea too.
These sorts of things also might help attract a wider audience.
With that thought in mind, I think somewhere with both camping and B&B would be good.
Are you planning showing some basic repairs and maintenance or are you suggesting having a mechanic on site for when our bikes break down?
Either way, allowing for British weather, a tent or shed we can work in out of the rain might be a good idea.
