Heroes Legend 2008

After some speculation earlier in the year of its demise and the recent cancellation of the 2008 Dakar i can confirm that the 2008 Heroes Legend is going to run.

We will be covering the event for the UK press, currently the UK entry is quite strong thanks to the sterling work of Clive Dredge at Team DesertRose.

Event organizer (and Dakar veteran) Hubert Auriol and his team are also now in the process of establishing the 2009 event which look likely to be a bigger event than ever with record early interest. We at raidxtreme are planning to be competing in 2009 with a multi-vehicle team.

re the above. A friend of mine is entering this event. His name is Mark Jones from North Devon. He's a PO Diver in the RN working in Portsmouth.
This will be his first ever rally. He's doing it for charity, CJD Research, as his mother sadly died from this terrible disease a few years ago. He's put quite abit of his own money into the project and has also gained sponsorship from various sources. Wheeldon farm put him through his paces for a couple of days before Christmas. If you bump into him say hi from me (SONNY.)

Hero's does tend to pull in a nice bunch of people, If Mark wants any help then please pass on our details (as always we try and do all charity work FOC)...

Were looking at doing a few things with Clive (and Patsy) over the next few years as they work along similar lines to us (and Clive actually did a transafrica on the XTZ!).. Were expecting to do some UK press stuff early next month and then we will be out in Paris for the start.
