Red Kite Rally, March 23rd 2008.

Regs for the Red Kite are out.

I'm in, its a 1 day event, supposed to be fast going, quite easy ground, very suitable for bigger bikes. Its also on a Sunday (Easter day), so there could be no need to rush off after, could be beers/chat and return on th Monday. My plan is to ride over on the Saturday, camp, event Sunday, then hopefully beers/social Sunday eve, then back Monday morning, for Bank Holiday afternoon with the Family.

Now I've got a target date for getting those progressive springs installed. Can't be bottoming out on landings like I was at the Cambrian. See you there Mudwiz.
It's not the age, it's the mileage...

What do u reckon? XR400 or AT? I fancy getting the XR kitted out in some kind of pseudo rally gear - Big tank, overhauled sussies etc... (once I've got the valve stem oil seals sorted as she smokes like a trouper at the moment)

I'm planning to get some fitted before then too! Can only be an improvement on what's in at the moment.

Will be good on the AT, but a good focus for setting up a "rally trim" XR4. Can you not "borrow" Micks CRF 450 .

I looked at the regs and it seems the XR250R is in the sportbike class, along with Mudwiz's XR650. .

    Bugger.

Class don't matter, Big Bike, Singles is what counts! Seriously though, it makes no difference to start order or to the amount of fun you have!

    Get that entry in Stan.

Yep, im there. Few of us all camping at the Rugby club to enjoy the socialising over a shandy after
Just trying to make me mind up now on which bike. My XR650R or my XR400R. The 400 is more sorted to do it but i really fancy giving the 650 a blast.
    What a dilema
