OK, see below: http://www.xrv.org.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=21549 for HUMM, IBA is the Iron Butt people, documented 1000 miles in 24 hours. http://www.ironbuttuk.org/

If we run via A34/M4 services, and go N round M25, not including "train" distance, then run the E side of France, down the "Auto Route de Solei" (SP??) I can get a nice 1018 by Google Maps. I'll need to put a diversion in to be sure!

It would really up the "pace" for HUMM, need to run a full on "adventure" spec, not an off-road spec. Be a laugh to set up for!!

OK, its just an option but it goes like this:

We could gain another Iron Butt Association certified ride, the Saddle Sore 1000, on the way to HUMM. With a bit of jiggling, the route will be just over 1000 miles, mostly French autoroute, therefore pretty fast and easy, just gotta get the paper work right! We do that on the Sunday, have Monday to plan routes etc, HUMM Tues and Wed, Thurs hangover and bit of trailing, Fri, Sat trailriding, Sun head north etc, Mon crossing and home. Could besome fab different areas to ride through on the Sun/Mon head North through France/England.

Just another idea. .

I've registered on the HUBB for HUMM, BTW!
