    LIARS!!!!!!!!!!

Here's part of the numerous emails that went to and from me to Roger DICK Allen, so called ''president'' of the EU/UK Ironbutt, dated 26th July last year:

The good news is, if the rides are verified by me then i can normally crack them in around 6-8 weeks sometimes slightly longer if its a group ride or a multiple. There was a slight confusion in your ride as you wrote to the IBA and queried stuff, the passage of emails etc to and from Me and America took over a week before it was confirmed that I should continue to verify
Hang on in there, the wait is very much worth it when you recieve the package and IBA number
As soon as i finish them you will be the first to know
    Best regards
    Roger
Hang on in there - hahahaha what a joke eh?

Well done for bringing the issues up Stan. And if they have now finally got their act together then that's all to the good.

I still think we should do something similar oursleves. Afterall, what are these guys doing? Really? Looking at a bunch of receipts and issueing a very average looking certificate. And not doing it very well either.

I'm sure we could run a much better show.

Fair play Tom , you have info that i dont.

I agree that we could do better....I have had thoughts of a ride similar to the Boundary500 (I rode this one in 07 and it was a cracking day out)...but based around the center of the UK...but then there is the "National".."Welsh"..."Scottish" Rallies, so i have to think of how viable this is .

We already have TLD...maybe this could be developed further . Our own End 2 End certificates ...XRV "Coast 2 Coast".....the list is a long one mate..

Oh and by the way....You would'nt belive how many times i have been asked about my TLD sticker on the 990!! ..... are these the prize that would make people attempt XRV Looong rides ...highly visible and instantly recognisable by anyone.

    Make you think...Eh Buddy..

I've had to drop out of this years Iron Butt rally, I have a lot of work to do on the bike and not enough time or money to sort it out in time for the event

Best of luck to everyone who is entering

    Slanty,

Sorry to hear you have had to pull out, but so have at least 8 other entrants including the two journalists, for various reasons. I will report back on all aspects of the event. As a matter of interest, I have not received any replies to my twice submitted paperwork for 2008 TLD JOG to LE. Efficiency? - we shall see.
