    Re: CRF 250X

YUP i have been running a renthol 47 on rear and standard front and it brings it into my skill level and managed a steady 65mph at 8000 revs and took me from the ace cafe back to southampton on a tank 85 miles JUST!!
I may take the front up a tooth and see how it affects the working gears.
I also have been running a 520 chain but you have to watch the adjustment or it chews the tyre up especially if you have an of. though i will bodge a top gaudge similler to the 600r.

    Re: CRF 250X

The CRF250X is a great little machine - I had the pleasure of following closely behind Mel all the way down the full length of the M3 after our early morning jaunt around London.

Sits at 70mph quite comfortably, and it's great seeing the reaction of car drivers when they see a stripped down lightweight dirtbike blatting amongst them..............(complete with LOTS of mud)

Maybe not the perfect motorway bike - BUT it can certainly handle it competantly if needed

(Mel - it looks great on film!!)

I'm glad to hear that you guys think it can handle the road, maybe I won't be paying huge insurance after all...
