450x Brake Light Installation

Me and my mate have recently bought a rear light/brake light for our 450x's (05' and 07) which replaces the current rear fender light. There are no switches on the brake levers, what is required and where can I get them from (UK based). Also is the wiring already there or do I need to put a wiring loom in there for them?
