08 CRF450X Oil Question

Hello folks,

Ive just got a new 450x and am about ready to change the oil & filter for the first time.

What oil do you suggest using as the Honda HP4 the manual recommends seem to be pretty hard to get in the UK.

Going by the temperature chart in my manual im planning on using 10w30 oil. Can I use fully synthetic and can i use both in the engine & transmission?

Yeah. you can go fully synthetic...cos you changing filter and oil. the engine will thank you for it. but it ain't cheap. I used Bel ray thumper oil. very nice oil but 23quid for 5 litres is not a cheap option.
