more help needed please

Hi again,
im looking for a bit of advice on this 96 cr 125 i have. ive put the engine back together but have a few probs still.
The head gasket, the one right at the top where the top plate/sparkplug bit bolts on, in the pack of gaskets i bought for the bike its a sheet metal gasket, not paper like the others, i kicked it over and it started, but it was leaking out the sides, all around, as if the gasket wasnt working.
have i done something wrong or should there be another gasket in there with the metal one.

Re: more help needed please

Normally the gasket is a steel centre with material on either side. if it is leaking, the head may be warped and you need to get it leveled off. you can try putting very fine emery paper or wet and dry with oil on it and face it off on a perfectly level surface, something like a piece of glass. ensure you have your torque wrench set to correct setting.
