i bought mine ready done, but you will need to get it registered, a dip and full beam headlight, stop/tail light, stop light switch, and number plate as well as a speedo, mine uses a bicyle one from halfords.
you may need to fit more legal tyres as well.
good luck, you have a fantastic bike.

Hi there, I did mine in December 2008, piece of cake...

    1. Tech stuff as above

    2. Ring Honda customer services and ask for a proof of age letter (you'll need frame number) which costs £20

    3. Get it MOT'd (testers will use frame number as it doesn't have a reg yet)

    4. Insure it, MCE gave 10 or 14 days grace on not having a reg while you deal with DVLA

    5. Go to your nearest DVLA office with all your paperwork and register it.

I walked out from DVLA with my tax disc and a certificate to get plates made, ironically over the phone they had advised me that it would take several days, the bike might need to be inspected and in the end I just smiled at the lady behind the counter, and got my tax disc there and then. I was trail riding the next day

CRF 230 is an ace trail bike, I'm upgrading from mine right now and am sure in real life I will regret it when a KTM (or whatever I go for) flips me off for the umpteenth time as the CRF 230s plod on by while I pick myself up

    Good luck,
    Sam
